The 10th Annual Haitian Compas Festival Offers More
Miami, FL April 2nd , 2008 – “The 10th Annual Haitian Compas Festival” to be held at Miami’s Bicentennial Park on Saturday May 17, 2008 offers more to the Media. Those who have covered Compas Festival in the past 9 years will agree it is a DO NOT MISS Event. The press is encouraged to apply for media credentials immediately. Press Passes are available until May 1st, 2008. Early registrants will have priority for interviews within our new format.
There will be 4 opportunities for the media to obtain sound bytes from various artists and HCF Officials during:
• The Press Conference on Thursday May 15th 2008 at Bongos Cuban Cafe
• Pre-Performance in the assigned Media Area
• Post-Performance as artists exit the stage
• During the Superstar visits to KIDZONE
Compas Festival remains a family atmosphere. This year we are introducing KIDZONE where children will enjoy musical fun on their level with visits by our superstars.
The line up includes : RAM, Brothers Possee, Sweet Micky and Magnum Band giving the fans a potpourri of haitian music styles. Returning headliners are : T-Vice, Djakout, CaRiMi, Nu-Look, Kreyol La, Mizik Mizik and Back-Up. Hangout and newcomer Volume are expected to shine. Top Comedians like Tontons Bicha and Dezirab will undoubtedly provide comic relief.
