We asked DJAKOUT drummer RORO if he agreed or disagreed with the assesment that DJAKOUT IS "EN BAISSE" (In a slump) in terms of BAL NUMBERS. This is what he told us.

RORO: "The same thing that they are saying about us right now, is the exact same thing they were saying about NU LOOK just before they dropped their new cd. It's just that we need to drop some new material out on the market to satisfy the hunger of the public. We have a LIVE coming out, and we hope to release a new single by the summer. One thing is for sure, we will NOT take as long as we did last time to release a NEW CD. It's coming sooner rather than later."

Then RORO added "A TOUT BLAZER YO DI PLAK MWEN AN BLAZER...MWEN BAY NIMPOT JAZZ DEFI VIN KANPE DEVANM...MAP RENTRE YO TOUT ak tout plak blazem' nan."

RORO: "Despite the fact that they are saying that my CD is old and all, I dare any band to come stand and face us face to face right now. We will eat any band alive right now with this CD."

Didn't DJAKOUT take 3 years to release their last album? The public was still supporting them in record numbers... no one ever questioned whether they were ANBES or not.

Don't judge a regular Djakout performances the same as if its a BIG SHOWDOWN...Djazz Peyi'a renmen fer djole and they always show up for big Head-to-Head competitions...Although unless someone bites (Nu Look or T-Vice & Zenglen (after CD release)) and calls them out...Djazz la ap rete en baisse until yo leve pied yo and lage yon bomb sou HMI la.
