I must admit, this is among the good of the KM board. Though some of us don’t interact at the level we once did (down time gave way to demanding responsibilities at work, on the road, and on the home front), we’ve gotten to know one of another and developed relationships that may long outlast the notes we write here to each other daily. For this I’m grateful to this forum for allowing me to meet such outgoing, intelligent, funny, witty, eclectic, and down-to-earth group of individuals.
Also, because of KM board - this screen name, this character called Ti boxer has taken on a life of its own and has garnered its own notoriety from media personnel, to bands, and KM members alike - something I can't quite comprehend ti'l this day. With out going into details, it’s really been a surreal experience. My cousin often says if people knew how much of a geek this Ti boxer character is, they’d invent ways to avoid me. Amazingly enough, it hasn’t been that way. It’s always a celebration when I do meet KM members – as seldom that may be; and I’m often star struck when I do meet them. Se KM selman'k ta pran yon Ti neg andeyo tankou'm li mete'm sou moun. Thank you KM.
Don’t know about anyone else, but for me - it’s always an amazing time when I get to place physical attributes to the screen name that I see on the board. For one, most of us don’t have our pictures on the board (and when you’re as hideous and un-photogenic as I am, you learn quickly to keep away from uploading pictures of yourself on public forums). The truth is, I don’t particularly enjoy anything that singles me out or discloses too much of my very existence. Hence, hanging a mug shot next to my screen name for all to see is simply not my cup of tea, regardless of how much I’ve wrestled with the idea. Of course all this does is enlarge the curiosity factor that comes with not having a face to face dialogue with members. So it’s always eventful when I do meet KM members. Also, it’s particularly hard for me to meet members (and vice versa) because I really don’t go out – and when I do it’s usually to some organized event held by invitation, and I’m usually dragged there by the wife (and it does take a compelling argument to pull me away from a Red Sox game, a mix of Top Vice, 90s System Band lives, Mizik Mizik, Skah Shah, DP express and Magnum Band in the background, coupled with a brand new bottle of 5 Etwal, a bowl of ice, and the Barbancourt labeled glass that I’ve clinched onto so dearly for the past few years). It was at an event like this over the week-end that I ran into the best DJ I know – Boston’s very own, krem gason, neg normal - DJ SuperDuke! It was not my first time meeting SuperDuke but it’s been a while. Duke, thanks for the goods. Bon bagay net. Ti boxer remercie’w anpil anpil. Many thanks to you for the shout outs! I was very but I appreciated them greatly. And for the record, you’re a hell of a DJ. Ou bon tout bon!
I also managed to meet over the week-end - for the first time – the one and only, the often imitated but never duplicated, Kafou! I was so happy to meet Kafou that I was babbling non-stop. M’komanse depale san’m pa konin! I really was star struck!!! Kafou, now you know one more thing about me - I talk just as much as I write giberrish here on KM. S'on pale anpil neg Ti boxer sa ye. Kafou is as cool as the other side of the pillow, neg pooooooooooze devan Gran Met la!! He’s like a friend I hung out with consistently in grade school but lost contact after 8th grade and now we’ve finally reunited. I have so much love, so much respect, and so much admiration for this guy that I had to open a thread and rablabla some more about my appreciation for him and how cool it was to meet him. Kafou, you're the man. Big ups to you gason'm nan. It was a pleasure meeting you and hopefully we'll spend more time together in the future. If only I could drag Tipoupouche out of his rat hole to come out, it'd be great. Ma'p travay sou sa.
And to moun pa'm nan, Fanm konsekan an, Fanmkonese: thank you from the bottom of my heart for the gesture you sent through Kafou. Moun konsekan ap toujou moun konsekan, et m’respektew anpil paske’w konsekan. I respected the gesture greatly. Thank you thank you and thank you again. Can’t thank you enough.

It really is, Evie. And of course the problem is that most of us are so busy with family life and work, it's often hard to find the time to meet. That's why when I'm able to hook up with some of my partners in crime here - I cherish it to the utmost.

I put that there purposely. I knew you'd jump all over it.

By the way, we got Bartolo Colon!!!!
Ou we bagay yo? Se sa'k rele front office! Se pa vye bagay Steinbrenner ap eseye fe New Yorlk la non.
