Greetings KM. Well, two years ago I informed you of my grandmother who turned 100 years old. I just wanted to share with you guys that she (Bruna Matieu) will be celebrating birthday number 102 this Saturday! Very Happy.
Yup, 102! and the crazy thing is that I donā€™t see any changes in her. She looks and acts the same as two years ago to me.

The family will be getting together at a cafe in Brooklyn, complete with live performances by the musicians in the family and a couple of friends. Will work on pics to put up as I did two years ago. Wink

Peace,
Soul

Congrats to your Grandmother. Not a lot of people have this chance. That's amazing.

102 years old? That is amazing. Can you ask her for her secret(s) to longevity? Happy Birthday to her.
My grandmother is also getting up there? We just can't confirm how old she is! She was born during around the beginning of the American Occupation of Haiti and she prides herself in the fact that her father was the commander of the local "Cacos Chapter." Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy So, I'm a natural rebel. It's in my blood Mr. Green
My guess is that she's approaching her mid 90s.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! Laughing Hey Louis, I think I know what the secret is.

1. The years of going up and down two and a half flights of stairs in a building with no elevator.

2. She does not eat a lot and eats in small portions throughout the day.

3. PriyƩ-ing to bondyƩ every day "faithfully".

4. She loves to talk, smile and love to see her grand and great grand kids. (She has great great grand kids too!)

I think these things contribute to her being to live life thus far. Wink

Soul, I think u're forgetting the 5th element. Music. there must be a lot of music and music playin in dat house.

Now the question is ... which one? Is it the Haitian music or the American Jazz? Or maybe it's the fusion of the two that Mozayik cooks up so nicely.
