“Game Over� (A Medal to Frero) / Leaders Needed!!

I posted a while ago about this song. It was about the energy of the song. It showed up in music software in my computer. I did not know who it was. I really did not.

Now in light of the new developments (Haitians being single out as responsible for Aids) the focus I have developed (Aids in the community) I revised this song. This song has a tremendous importance for this community.

If I was a political leader or a social leader I would most definitely confer a gold medal to Frero for writing and recording this song. Since I am either one, I would give it to you as a fan, as a music and cultural promoter. What a great, great job Frero!

Please receive an honorary gold medal for having the insight to understand what is going on in your community, for having the courage to talk about it, for showing care for your community, love for your people and moral stature to use our beloved Konpa to actually promote and give positive messages to our youth. It is refreshing and inspiring to listen to this song and message, instead of the trashy and corruptive messages that many of your peers are egotistically using Konpa for. >>>>>>>>> A gold medal of love and respect to FRERO.

Frero addressed a very important issue; an issue that is part of our problem with AIDS and the weakness of this community and society. What is up with some of you players?

I have known through out the years (11 years) in this community so many ladies that are single mothers. It is in fact more of a norm that an exception. I’ve known ladies that have two, even three kids and all are from different men.

GAME IS OVER gents. It is your community you are destroying, is the family fabric you are killing. If you are out there ready to stick your thing then be ready to face like a man the results of your actions. You are cool getting ladies pregnant then be cool to be a father and be cool to rise up that kid. Don’t just left ladies with the package to raise a kid with no father and no support and probably with AIDS too. Your karma is way too big.

And what is up with the ladies giving it up so easy like that? You are getting Aids, your babies are getting AIDS, you are left alone with the package to take care of and still you are giving it out so easy like that. Obviously you are not getting protected either, else you would not get pregnant.

WE NEED LEADERS IN THIS COMMUNITY, URGENTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Frero for having the courage to speak about players and make fun of them...... “yeah, you are a savage, I have the whole package man, after the party is over, just take her to the crib and do the whole thing�.......GAME IS OVER people, your community is number one in AIDS cases, your babies are getting it too. GAME IS OVER.

Here is a young man, a young artist who has the courage to speak about it and made a great song too. Which proves that the fault lies not in konpa music as many in the Haitian church communities believes but in the artists that are singing Konpa and give messages through it. One artist sings, GAME IS OVER another sings I WANT TO F%&K YOU. Is konpa to blame or the artist out there?

In the eleven years I have been around this community I never hear a Konpa artist made an important song like this. >>>> EXCELLENT JOB FRERO.

The problem in this community is WE DON’T HAVE LEADERS. We had one and was killed; Ti Manno, since then we have not have a real leader and certainly we don’t have one now. WHAT IF........................................

WHAT IF..........instead of fighting among each other for the most ridiculous things, artist would get together to analyzed the situation in the community and do something about it?

WHAT IF.....artists instead of playing long songs to induced plogging play short songs and educated ladies and men of the risks promiscuous behaviors bring to their lives?

WHAT IF....instead of promoting pajamas parties and give out messages of promiscuity, encouraging the youth to be promiscuous, encourage people to be informed and really dance in a non promiscuous way?

WHAT IF....instead of doing lesbian trios on stage and plogging with your fans, artists bring a trio of doctors and social workers on stage to inform the audience that AIDS STILL is a dead proposition and that no, there is no cure for it.

WHAT IF....instead of bringing on stage a 13 year old to do a booty dance in our festival, bring a 13 year old who is straight A and plays violin and recite poetry?

WHAT IF.....artist became aware that, “to those who were given much, much more will be asking from�?; meaning; you have the mike and the stage: YOU ARE very responsible for either doing or not doing a service to your community. Don’t say you don’t know it.

WHAT IF.......if we have real leaders in this community to educate, inform and steer the youth in a better constructive way of leading their lives and thus make their community stronger and healthier?

WHAT IF.....our ladies artist heavily promote and encourage Haitian ladies to stay virgin until marriage, to not give it up until they have assurance the man would stand tall like a real man? Instead of them being part of the equation being promiscuous themselves and giving out bad examples via the way they are portrait in fliers and on stage.

Unfortunately, we don’t have leaders; at least not among our artists. That is why I don’t digest well to read so much criticism to Wyclef because he is about the only one, who is doing something productive for the community outside of music. The only one I hear talk to the youth about the dangers of AIDS.

This community is getting decimated and most of our artist are out there acting like this is the beginning of times when in reality is the end of times.

So in that light, thanks a million to FRERO for having that courage, that insight and moral stature to at least acknowledge a very serious problem and educated the youth about the dangers of our world!

TI MANNO.........you are sooooooooooooooooooooooooo missed!!!!!
