It's interesting reading all these statistical data that everyone is practically making up, since there is no mechanism in the Haitian market to accurately measure record sales.
However, I have heard that the Tabou Combo "New York City"album did sell over a million copies, which makes it the best selling kompa album.

This one is actually a tricky one.

Tabou supposedly sold close to one million album

David by DP EXPRESS sold the most reprint by any old school. Mini-Record reprinted about 15,000 David Cds...an album hard to find now on CDs. If you count sells, David is among the best sold albums combining Vinal and CD Reprints.

Alan Cave's SE PA POU DAT is one that sells alot too.

Kunta, David of D.P Express is no doubt the best selling haitian albums ever with 200,000 copies back then. The reason is pretty simple: the album has crossed over the Latino market. The song E,E,E,E has been a big hit in Santo Domingo. Many latino groups have interpreted this song.
In addition, DAVID was one of the biggest kompas hit in the ANTILLES..
