I just realized how far some people will go for popularity or to gain some attentions from others (specially from musicians in the HMI) if i may say. Because i found it really odd to lower yourself that way.

Some people won't mind spreading rumors on others to make themselves look good while they are doing their nasty busness on the DL.

They will get really aggravated if they happend to go one day to see their band and not having a little chance to say "hello" for once to their so-called favorite musician.

Ok im not here to judge no one but why trying to bring a sister down when you're not even sure of what you saying.((nan péyim yo rélé sa djol àlèlè , tripotèz , lang long))
My advice to you , when you see certain things do not jump to conclusion of the appearance because what you see might not be all true. And one more thing do not get other people's name involve in your nasty little bizness because it will cost you big time.Comme on dit ((MEFIE-TOI DU CHAT QUI DORT))

to go back with the topic , what is the main reason will you go to a bal supporting a band or will you try to be or call yourself friend of a HMI musicians ??? im really hoping it doesn't have anything to do with the first two paragraphs...

Alright Carly,

My main reason for attending any Haitian events is for the "LOVE OF COMPAS"
I love our music... I will support until I'm unsatisfied with the materials or products.
I'm glad that I've never had any intentions on becoming friends with any musicians or a particular band

I didn't know it was like that.

I go to bals to hear kompa LIVE and to dance. I love hearing kompa live and dancing to it. I can't stay still when I hear the music booming.

Im with you ladies , and that's how it supposed to be even if you develop some kind of feelings for one of them , your behavior should remain the same and just be yourself...
do not try to bring down no one to higher yourself. one another thing , most of them have a life hidden behind it all and a lot of people need to respect that.

Well Carly, I hope you learned your lesson. After what you told me, it's unbelievable how far some people will go to get attention . All i can tell you is to stay away from those FRENCH POODLES.

Absolument, to support the band and enjoy it.
HMI musicans can't be trust, even if before being musicans they are man, they are also musicians. Tu peux avoir des affinités but friends

Sounds like you were a victim of other people's insecurities, CarlyVice. What goes around comes around. They will get theirs. They will also realize that the attention they receive from the HMI stars won't lead to anything meaningful or serious.

why is it that I see some of us really have a problem when they see othe people talking to a musician, cracking jokes with them like old buddies.

Why should that be so bothersome to so many? Does that necessarily make htme a groupie?

People are not allowed to speak to or associate themselves with musicians?

I GO TO A BAL TO HAVE FUN AND LISTEN TO GOOD MUSIC AND HAVE FUN WITH MY FRIENDS.

But, if I see a musician that I know, I will say hi. I might evne stay after the bal to tell th guys they did a good job and that I'm a fan. Our musicians need to hear that sometimes.

I might even have a question or two to ask about how they feel about a specific subject. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT I GO TO THE LIMIT TO MAKE MYSELF IMPORTANT OR FAMOUS OR WHAT HAVE YOU.

I think as fan we should be able to let the musicians know how much we appreciate their music, but to a certain extinct.
I will not call a musian "my friend" just because we talk after a bal, and i will not expect him to recognize me the next time i see him perform.
As fans we should not expect nothing more than good music and good entertainment from musicians.
