Former KDANS HIT MAKER Glenny Benoit spoke to us about the band a little as he answered some of our questions. (READ BELOW)



*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Glenny, do you feel that KDANS should just shut down and leave the legacy of the band alone because MOST of the original members are no longer there, or do you think it's ok for Jude, Alfred, and Ricky to continue with the group?
GLENNY: "Bro once a musician always a musician. I don't even think Jude, Alfred and Ricky is doing this for the money; but just for the passion of doing something that they love. Music is an addiction, once you start it's not easy to stop. That's all I can say."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Have KDANS asked you to give them any songs for their upcoming CD, considering that you composed/wrote a lot of their hit songs?
GLENNY: "Yes I wrote most of their hit songs; They did ask me... Nap géré yon bagay kan menm. Kdans is and will always be family even most of the members play for Carimi now. Anjwet konsa Pat gen 6 musiciens Kdans nan Carimi wi lol. Se koulyé a mrealizé sa wi."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: So CARIMI kraze KDANS?
GLENNY: "Non Carimi fè yon lòt Kdans."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Eske musiciens ak fanatik KDANS ta supoze fache ak CARIMI paske gin 6 anciens musiciens yo ki nan jaz la?
GLENNY: "Not at all Kdans still existé épi fanatik Kdans yo gen 2 Djazz koulyé a Kdans and K-rimi."
