KOMPA MAGAZINE can tell you that GAZZMAN DISIP and STEEVE KHE were hot and heavy in terms of negotiating for the two entities to come together and make it work.
A major stumbling block according to a couple of sources of ours has been that some of the demands made by Steeve Khe are seen as "UNREALISTIC IN TODAY'S HMI". Some are reasonable; but a couple of others are seen as EXTREME MAJOR HURDLES in getting a deal done on both sides.
We can tell you that Steeve's desire to also have a SOLO CAREER and to perform IN THE HMI CIRCUIT AS SUCH... while being in the band AT THE SAME TIME, seems to be a STICKING GLUE that stands in the way.
One source told us this "Imagine if Steeve gets a couple of hit songs on the upcoming DISIP CD, and then from there, if he has a solo career going on, many promoters, especially the ZOUK NIGHT ones looking for a bargain, would be all over him to come and sing those same songs at their parties. That would be a bad business move for Disip or any other major band that Steeve might be negotiating with, because the promoters will always try to get Steeve solo at a CHEAPER PRICE, rather than go for the band. SI OU SE YON ATIS SOLO NAN YON JAZ...EPI OU FE HIT SOU PLAK JAZ LA....SE MINM MUSIC SA YO STEEVE PRAL CHANTE NAN ZOUK NIGHT. SA RELE KRAZE BIZNIS. LI PAP NAN AVANTAJ NIMPOT JAZ......A MWENS KE YO INTERDI ATIS LA CHANTE MIZIK KI SOU PLAK JAZ LA LE LI AL JWE SOLO."
Another source in NYC told us that Steeve seems to be and I quote "PRICING HIMSELF OUT OF ANY REALISTIC DEALS. Whoever is advising him is not giving him a realistic reflection of today's market. Also, Steve has only scored on 1 album with 1 team, that's not enough yet to justify some of the demands that are being made."

Nonsense! Disip does not need Steve Khe. Disip needs to focus on its stability at this time. In my opinion, the band needs the following:
1. A Maestro
2. A solid horn section
3. A stable second guitar player
4. Ensure that these 4 guys are members of the band: Gazman, Jean, Makenson, Bodo.

Heard Steve K Manager on a radio station a few weeks ago
some of those Demand altough good but not for the
HMI market.
Yes i know we been asking for that to improve and such and such
but damm some of those thing .. HMI la pako pare'

Oh boy! Steeve wants the world. About a 9-5 Job in Canada Steeve? Disip does not need more drama. This guy is 100% Drama. Hope Gazman Stay away from him.

I was thinking abt the same thing. That will be a very talented band but egos might tear them apart.
Steve Khé needs to face the HMI reality, swallow his proud & go back to Djakout. Sooner or later Steve will be history if he doesn't face the reality.
