With ZENGLEN's new CD set to be released, WE HOPE THE BAND HAS BEEN REHEARSING AT LEAST 5 OF THE NEW SONGS so that as soon as the CD is out, the band can start playing them LIVE.

WHY?

With ZENGLEN having gone on PAUSE MODE FROM PARTIES THE LAST FEW MONTHS to work on the new CD; when the band resurfaces on a REGULAR BASIS for their LIVE shows with the new CD...THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN "RIGHT AWAY".

*PUBLIC DID NOT WAIT THAT LONG FOR ZENGLEN TO COME RIGHT BACK AT THEM BY PLAYING OLD MATERIAL!
While we understand that there are some classic songs in the group's repertoire, the group's maestro needs to understand that NOU PRAN SA YO DEJA EN PLUSIEURS FWA. NOW should be all about THE NEW CD and making the fans getting used to them. You can play 3 OLD SONGS MAXIMUM at a party if you re playing BY YOURSELF...and maybe 2 MAXIMUM if you are playing with another band because time is LIMITED.

IN 2015/2016, ZENGLEN should be concentrating on selling the NEW ZENGLEN with the REZILTA PI RED songs...and NOT rehashing any BOUILLON RECHOFFE songs. NEW STRATEGY/NEW ALBUM/NEW ZENGLEN.

*WID: LET HIM HAVE HIS OWN IDENTITY LIVE: While I understand that WID will sing a couple of old Zenglen songs on their catalog; it's time that Zenglen ESTABLISHES HIS OWN IDENTITY FROM THE GET GO. Do not have him keep singing old songs on the Zenglen repertoire most of the time, to try and show thew fans that he can also sing songs like "Child Support", "Rezilta", or older material. LET WID SING HIS OWN "NEW" SONGS from the CD SO THAT THE PUBLIC CAN SEE "WID" AND NOT REGINALD CANGE OR KENNY OR GRACIA in front of them because of songs that those singers have established their imprints on. That is the BEST MOVE.

The new CD has 12 songs on it....ZENGLEN SHOULD AT LEAST HAVE 6 OF THOSE READY TO PLAY "LIVE" when the CD comes out.....POU KE SE PA BOUILLON RECHOFFE AK YON NOUVEAU CHANTER KE FANATIK YO AL TANDE LE YAL WE JAZ LA "LIVE".

Disagreed...Easier said than done..This is a true catch22 (damn if you do, damn if you don't).

Generally it takes 6 months to a year for the fans to digest new songs, so if you want to use new songs to promote the kid, he will have a tough time passing the test. You may even see the dance floor empty when he is singing new songs which may affect his confidence.

I will go 90% old tubes and 10% new the next 6 months and ease it to a 50/50 later on. So be it if they see Reginald Cangé in him (which is not a bad thing), after all we have very few originals in this business. We have more copycats. There is always some Gracia in Dabenz, some Pipo in Klemay, some Reginald Cangé in WID, some Shoubou in Gazzman, some Alan Cavé in Daan Junior and the list goes on

Finally somebody gets it. How long Pè Las and Baby Fe were singing Gracia's songs before they got approval from the fans. It is harder for the kid to be accepted by singing his own hits than singing the old ones.

It is sad to see how some people are expecting all groups to fail other than the one they have their boyfriends. So sad.
