We asked OLIVIER DURET the following question below
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Do you believe that DAT7’s debut CD needs to have a HIT SONG or more in order to be considered a success…or, do you believe it would have done it’s job, as long as it keeps giving the group steady gigs and a healthy calendar?
OLIVIER DURET: "It would be great for the album to have a or some HIT songs, that makes for a great calendar year; BUT I don't think it's NECESSARY. As long as the album has a string of good music, it should give u a good calendar year also.
I can give an example from experience with TVICE, the album KITEM VIV did not have a HIT per say; but a lot of good songs; and it's considered one of tvice's best. I just hope the album in itself is appreciated/enjoyed around the world (which would make for gigs and all), that would make it a success to ME."

| Let me laugh, is he talented? yes, experienced? sounds so naive and immature. Is talent enough to bring a band to the promise land? no not at all. Serious knowledge of the music business and the Hmi market is a must, otherwise piscine tet dwat. I feel bad for Dats7, None of them sounds like they know what they're doing. How are you gonna compare T Vice an internationally known veteran with hundreds of songs including many hits on the market to Dats7 no body knows who the hell they are and what merchandise they're selling. No wonder Jessie and Roberto are laughing so hard now. Olivier please go back to Hmi music business school, cause your band needs at least 5 good hits and megahits plus so much more to find yourself a little spot in this market |

I think he's refering to the last album, Kite'm VIV is the album that had Beaute Dangereuse, Cheche Fanm pa'w, 4 LAS? no way
