NYC promoter MOSSO is giving this guarantee to the GAZZMAN DISIP fans.
MOSSO: "Let's be honest about it. DISIP is being boycotted in the NYC area. You can say that I said that. I understand that the band is not as popular as it once was when they first came out; but I can tell you that other bands that were also in the same EN BAISSE position as Disip in NYC..Kreyol La to name one; have been able to have promoters give them gigs in NYC, unlike Disip. Why is that? SA VLE DI KE YAP BOYCOTTE DISIP NAN NY LA.
One thing that I can guarantee the fans is that in BROOKLYN, DISIP WILL CONTINUE TO DO WELL as long as I am here. ZONE BROOKLYN NAN...DISIP AP TOUJOU RET SOLIDE DEPUIS MWEN LA. TOUT PROMOTER KAP BOYCOTTE JAZ LA NAN NY LA....MWEN WE NOU. MAP SUIV NOU. NOU KON KIYES NOU YE."
When we asked MOSSO if he would have an issue with these same promoters getting dates from Gazzman Disip if the band becomes hot; this is what he said.
MOSSO: "That would really be something. MWEN TAP.....(Then he stops). I understand that he has to do business. I would not have an issue with that DEPUI MWEN JWEN JAZ LA LE MWEN BEZWEN LI. Musicians have this ability to forget the people that are there with you when the band is struggling...once they get success. MUSICIANS GIN SA COMME DEFO...KE DEPI JAZ YO AP MACHE...YO BLIYE MOUN KI TE KANPE AVEK YO LE BAGAY YO PAT BON. I hope that will not be the case here."
When we asked MOSSO what he thinks GAZZMAN should do to get the band back to where it was, he said "Se YON PLAK KAP MACHE KE YO BEZWEN SELMAN. ANYIN ANKO."

With all due respect there isn't a boycott...the promoters aren't trying to take a chance like that out here especially with an outside band that includes payment of plane tickets and everything..most are going to try and get the bands that are hotter... I commend Mosso's effort but he's not going to take disip anywhere that Gazzman wants to go... They'll play and get paid but not get the parties he wants... In this market here which is a very tough one they need someone "ki gen moun deyo yo" that will bring people out because of who they are as well as the band that is playing... It's not just posters and flyers... Fok ou gen lari'a epi fo'w gen bon strateji..one of the problems disip has is that they have a weird crowd... They don't bring out much females where as other heavy hands like NuLook, Klass and Djakout are balanced out... This is deeper than most people see it... My boy Gazzy needs to really evaluate what's going on and come up with a game plan... A real one or he's going to be in real trouble... I feel ego and pride and looking out for others put him in the place he is.you can't have so much emotion in business...I really hope he does something because he should be in the top spots... Good luck brother...
