------------------------------------------------------------

Would GAZZMAN be better at FLIPPING THE SCRIPT on his HMI PERSONALITY of "FAWOUCHEUR, COMEDIAN one liners in songs" to one of "MAN OF THE PEOPLE, SOCIALLY CONCIOUS VOCALIST, LEADER A"?

Keeping it real here; it seems that GAZZMAN has gotten more POSITIVE VIBES lately when it comes to his SERIOUS SONGS (Example EKILIB's video even had him getting compliments from people that you would bet a lot of money on NEVER giving him props), than when he goes the "GAZZMAN COULEUR" route that we have all been accustomed to for so many years.

PERSONALLY, I loose it when GAZZMAN IS GAZZMAN by being funny, adding a little spice of comedy to his songs, and whatever else he used to do for so many years. In other words; WHAT MADE HIM GAZZMAN. That was working for him up until when DISIP blew out of the gate in the HMI their first year. It probably started to turn sour once NU LOOK AND KLASS delivered great albums, and that was when fans started to look at those jabs another way; which was NOT positive.

With the latest round of POSITIVE FEEDBACK that GAZZMAN has gotten for EKILIB; is this THE RIGHT TIME for GAZZMAN to FLIP THE SCRIPT and MAKE THE TURN into a SERIOUS LEADER/GAZZMAN? Would that be good for his BRAND and BAND? Would that be good for the artist? Would he risk alienating the fans that LOVE "Gazzman being Gazzman"? Would that make GAZZMAN HAPPY; and would he be able to be HIMSELF if he made that "TURN"?

VERY DIFFICULT DECISION if you ask me....even though I PREFER "GAZZMAN BEING GAZZMAN"; having said that, surely that must be something that he has to think extremely hard about.

HMMMMM!

KM!

Most of those peeps Hating on him now are some of the
same one that use to cheer for him .

maybe a bit less Jabs at time that's not needed all time but
hey that's what make Gazzman who He is and love still by
many.

YANVA

I'm telling you, sometimes you will listen to a DISIP song just to HEAR a Gazzman joke/jab; in terms of KIJAN LI LAGE LI NAN MIZIK LA. He is also MAD FUNNY AT TIMES; but you can't hide the fact that there are many (Mostly Arly and Richie fans) who DON'T like when he takes verbal shots at them; and I wonder if that's why the jabs are no longer FASHIONABLE to them.

You see the response that EKILIB is getting...THE MOST POSITIVE VIBE THAT GAZZMAN has had in awhile ESPECIALLY from people that DISIP fans would label "critics or haters"...and that's for GAZZMAN "Man of the PEOPLE...THE SOCIAL LEADER. The last good vibe that GAZZMAN had before that in my opinion was for HOW WELL HIS BAND IS PLAYING "LIVE".

That is why it is a toss-up....but FOR ME PERSONALLY; give me GAZZMAN COULEUR JAN LI YE A...a mixture of both.

Pat if Gazzman wants to be the faroucher then he needs HITS, production, and stability in his band. Leu sa misye ka di sa li vle ak bouche li. Paske lap gin back up.

But i think the SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS route is untapped. Also I would categorize Madam Mwen Te Met Pa Bon and Bope Pa Papa to be alternative songs that fit the mold with social consciousness route.

These songs seem to get a better response.

So yes he might have to flip the script

If he wants to be slick and funny he needs production.

But as an artist, you need to evolve. And we as Haitians have many subjects that need to be told. Gazzman can do that.

KM I do understand what you saying very well , Also
understand DJ kreyol point ... That's why i said a bit
less Jabs or attacking some of his Direct competitors at
time they are not needed. Yes i love them but spend the
whole night or everysongs are a bit Much.

I want the same Gazz that made him Gazz but don't have to
be always on the attack especially when it's hurting His Biz.

Djazz lap pap jwe' anyin but yo tout kap kouri yo Pe' Gazz la
kou chat ... pap jwe' ak this pap jwe' ak that .. fok kob la rite..
se paske' yo pe' Arrow

DJ KREYOL and YANVALOO

Would you be able to DIGEST an entire GAZZMAN DISIP CD full of SOCIAL SONGS like "EKILIB"?

Gazzman needs some quality songs, a couple of hits and he'll be good to go. Gazzman needs to be Gazzman with a couple of hit songs. Also, socially conscious songs have gotten good reviews for El Color. Evolves yes but keep your identity.
