There's no cold war between the 2 genres. I think the problem is that a lot of the rappers feel like they're not appreciated by the konpa heads which can be backed up by the playlist of some websites or radio stations...
We're in the final phase of mixing my artist P-Jay's album and it features 3 konpa artist in Flav of Gabel (fok mwen ale which i believe is one of the top videos in the hmi), Jude Jean, MikaBen and also Jahnesta...so i think it's a matter of the artist taking more of a risk and allowing the merge to happen.
I think if a konpa artist is worried about the backlash from their fans then they're not going to do it...i did ask a top hmi artist for a hook and instead of turning me down he asked me for $4,000 knowing that i wouldn't pay him that much. |

i understand you don't like rap kreyol but Izolan is more than just a ti local rapper. Popularity wise he's on top of the game...he has played all over the states, guadeloupe, france, martinique...rayi chyen an di danl blan...
besides, this dude have more money than most konpa artist...he's a bonafide business man... pale saw konnen... |
