HMI MUSICIAN in the U.S told us this below
MUSICIAN: "You know how guys when they go to bals...THEY WANT TO LOOK COOL...YO PA VLE PEDU SHELBE YO, so when any band is playing a COMPAS LOVE SONG....Even if they love the song, THEY WOULD PREFER TO PLAY IT COOL AND STAY QUIET...POU MOUN PA WE KE YAP CHANTE MIZIK LOVE. I guess in their minds they think it is a bit UNcool if you are a "flanneur" singing another compas love song being sung by a GUY. Even if they start singing the song without realizing it, they quickly stop to avoid anyone seeing them.
THE ONLY ARTIST THAT I CAN SAY that has broken that barrier and it is done on a CONSISTENT BASIS...meaning TOUT TAN'N, his name is ARLY LARIVIERE. He is the only HMI artist that I've seen, whose broken the barrier where the male fans that attend his bals just say the heck with it...and decide that YAP LEVE MIN YO ANLE AND SING THEIR HEARTS OUT, regardless who is looking/watching them, and think they are not cool by doing that. Arly is the only one who is CONSISTENT in that department."

I don't about that one, Gason chante Micky's Nou 2 or Si Se Sou ak 2 main anle sou table... They probably whispered Kompa Kreyol's Viens Chez Moi and T-Vice's Innocent in the ladies ears while dancing, i know i did. They definitely sing to Arly's song as well. They only band that i think guys won't sing along with them during the love osng is definitely Carimi....Neg sa yo gentan gen tout ban devan medams yo k'ap fe'l pou yo.... Pou jan Richa cave konn kampe close devan stage la pou li pale ak medams yo, ou pa ka gason pou vinn devan stage lan pou wap chante Fe'm Kado'w....

It's always nice to see a guys sentimental side 
Either way, yes I've seen this happen regarding some of the Nu Look/Arly love songs. But I wouldn't be quick to say that he's th only one that does it neither. T-vice has done it, Carimi has done it, Alan Cave has done it and countless others as well.
