The business of donating your sperm for money is apparently big business that brings in some good cash for MEN that are willing to do it according to a very popular tv show. For one "SPLASH", you can get anywhere from $500 and up.

We put that question to the test by asking ZENGLEN vocalist KENNY DESMANGLES the following question(s)

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Do you think it's RIGHT OR WRONG for MEN to donate their sperm(s) for money in order to help women who want to get pregnant? Would YOU do it or not...considering that the pay is good apparently?

KENNY DESMANGLES: My opinion is, whatever a man chooses to do with his sperm that's his business... However, I Kenny wouldn't donate my sperm for any amount money...donating my sperm would mean that, someone is going to give birth to a baby of mine, and I wouldn't have anything to do with that baby. And, that doesn't sit well with me, cause I care very much about how the life of another human being that I bring into this world is going to be taken care of. I do not abandon my blood... I love been a father, and no child deserves to be growing up without their father.

So in conclusion, I'm not saying it's right, and not saying it's wrong. It's up to GOD to judge, and the individual who is face with that choice to make the best decision for himself. I hope my answers can be helpful... Thanks for including me in the ASK THE HMI STARS PAT, GOD BLESS YOU!"

This is a very sensitive subject indeed. Believe it or not, to a lot of couples/women out there, these sperm donors are considered "Heroes"; at the same time to a lot of other people, they might not be looked upon in a positive note at all.

I am sure that there are some members on the board who would not mind to cash in the $$$$ at all to donate....and there are others that feel the opposite way.

that is very different from he said.. I don't think kenny is worried about wasting some of his stuff... cause you will no matter what..
what kenny is saying is that.. he is not gonna intentionally give away his stuff so SOMEONE ELSE CAN BRING HIS CHILD SOMEWHERE IN THIS WORLD, WHERE HE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT CHILD... IT WOULD NOT SIT WELL KNOWING THAT THERE'S A POSSIBILITY THAT HE'S CHILD IS SOMEWHERE AND HE HAS NO CONNECTION WITH HIS OWN BLOOD, CREATION... which makes great sense TO ME... however, some people might have a different point of view.. but me, I just happened to agree with him..

i would rather sell my sperms than to have a kid with a women and to not take care of it like many haitian men tend to do.
the problem am having with this sperm donor thing is that what's going to happen to that kid when he/she grows up and start asking about their father
we all know how important it is for a child to have their father in their live( expect for some Haitian men). i think both the women who wants to get pregnant by a sperm donor and the men who's willing to sell their sperm need to really think long and hard before acting because it can have serious repercussion in the long run with the child.

Sorry if i offended anyone i was just try to be funny, dont worry i'm not gonna quit my day job. Anyway the other day i was watching on tv some of those kids that are looking for their sisters or brothers around the country. What if the situation was a family who really wanted to have a child and the man have no sperm at all. Not just a low sperm count, but no sperm at all.

And you know they could offer that child a great home. Would you reconsider?

Just wondering. Because your main concern seem to be that child not having a father in their lives. What if there was going to be a father. Do you feel it has to be you, the biological father?

I'm not pro or con here. Just wondering.
