CHANTEL J.: "Greeting Pat and KM members,

My name is Chantel and I am not a promoter nor am I here to destroy anyone’s reputation but I’m truly disappointed with Harmonik and Rodney Noel.

There was a major party hosted by Touche Douce…AJ’s Fet A3 Birthday Bash that took place last Sunday on June 18, 2010 at Club Iguana’s in Miami. The following bands were featured on the fliers to perform: Harmonik, Daan Junior and dISIP and the biggest catch was “3 Ladies in with 1 ticket” (I have included a copy of the flier below). As a loyal fan of Harmonik, I decided to invite 5 other females’ friends to join me since they have never seen Harmonik, Daan Junior or dISIP perform Live plus I wanted to see what Sergo had to offer to the band. We arrived around 11.30pm since 3 bands were supposed to play and we did not want to miss anything.

As, we started to walk towards the club I noticed Don Roro from Harmonik outside the club on his cell, so I start to brag that Harmonik was going to put on a great show and this will be a night to remember. Then all of a sudden, we overheard a guy telling his friends that “Harmonik decided to cancel a few hours ago because they did not want to open the party and Rodney told the promoter that if they can’t play 2nd or close the party then his band will not come at all.” At this point, I was like that’s just a rumor because Harmonik has never been known for cancelling a gig because they did not want to open a party. Therefore, I patiently watched Daan Junior and dISIP put on a great show but unfortunately, Harmonik never showed up.

I must admit that I was truly embarrassed that night because here I am bragging about this band to my friends and Harmonik could not even put their ego aside just to satisfy their fans just for 1 night. I would like to advise Harmonik and any other bands that before you accept a contract from a promoter; it would be best if you discuss in advance what time slot you would like to perform before any advertising takes place or seal the deal.

On that note: I wish Harmonik the best of luck in the future and hopefully no loyal fan(s) needs ever experience what I experienced this past weekend.

PS: Ms Joseph, I like the Tone of your Letter. Well done in such a Respectful manner. Hope you get an Apology form your Favorite Band.

You cannot Condone this kind of behavior.
One of the Fans just Posted a Letter on Behalf of Hundreds that were in her situation This Chien-manje-Chien mentality in the HMI has got to STOP. It's about PLAYING Music for the Paying Audience....It's not about EGOS.... Who cares who OPENS or CLOSES the Party. Why can't we focuss on the business of playing Music?....

Harmonik and Noel need to apologize to you regardless of what went down that night, it's time for these bands to realize its not about them but the fans. Si se pousa neg Harmonik cancelled gig la shame on them, if you dont want to be the open act for a new band just let them know the day you signed that contract. Mezanmi kile nap fer bagay yo an profesional.
