We asked the SUPERSTAR MAKER to tell us THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG "Mwen Pap Tounin" (KENNYWAY). This is what he told me.

RICHIE: "Mwen Pap Tounen---Most of the time our Men don't cry when they get cheated on and in this case it's a double hit (with your best friend). They will deny their true feelings. Is it the MACHEGO (macho ego)? Crying is a dirty job but somebody's got to do it(Zenglen)."

I wonder if ANY FELLAS or LADIES have ever had an episode where their good or best friend hit them IN THAT WAY? HMMM

Thanks RICHIE.

Men do cry over things like that.

They just do it in the privacy of their homes.

Someone would have to be less than human for something like that not to affect you.

Pat,

In this case, Richie explains the storyline in the song, not necessarily the story behind it. Is there a story behind the song? How did it come about? That's usually what I want to read about in these posts.

BTW, I like this initiative. It helps the listener/fan get an even greater appreciation for what could be their favorites songs on these albums.

That's actually what I asked RICHIE, but I guess he misunderstood. I will ask him for the "STORY BEHIND THE SONG" like I do with the others.

My friends' lives are not that exciting either Pat...

But I do know a friend of a friend who slept with her friend's man. I guess you could see why I do not want to call her a friend.

Maybe you have a story to tell, Pat.

Why don't you kindly share?

RICHIE told me that he did understand what I asked, and that he did answer by giving THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG!

I am puzzled by Richie's answer anyway, but the song does fit Kenny well.
