Folks, tell me. Isn't the anticipation of those "3 JOURS GRAS" just as important as the Kanaval days themselves?

In fact, think about it. We, who worship those 3 magic days, start talking, writing, planning, organizing,"POLEMICKING" months prior? When allowed that much time!

Now what is the logic that explains that Kanaval songs/meringues that are really the core of what this business is truly about- to be released only a week before the whole deal?

Let me highlight this with a few analogies to put this in perspectives...

It is as if World Cup is coming and you are only allowed to know what the participating teams realy are: a week before.

How about the elections since they have a bit of anticipation too, but you're only allowed to know the candidates: the week before you vote for them.

The woman you are about to marry; you are only introduced to her, guess when: the week before.

I could go on and on and on...hope you see the point!!

Now wouldn't all of these examples be simply absurd if that same silly, stupid, backward rule would apply??

So why is it that the meringues, which are the most important components or pieces of the whole Kanaval shabang are only to be released by the most prominent bands a week prior.

As a result I'm finding myself singing more kanaval songs after Kanaval than prior. Isn't this just absurd????

Last time I check, the sponsor pay to be advertise on the float not the k-naval song itself.

I do agree that they should release their song early. A K-naval without T-Vice and Djakout is no K-naval I want to be part of it. like it or not, Nou tout ap rete tan yo lague meringue lan.
