ARLY LARIVIERE/GAZZMAN...NU LOOK/DISIP: THE AFTERMATH!

NU LOOK and DISIP played each other the other day in what was billed by many fans as some sort of showdown. I don't even want to go that route in terms of entertaining the talk by fanatical fans of both bands about which band WON or LOST, but what I will tell you is this.....READ BELOW!
ARLY LARIVIERE was already at a major disadvantage THE MINUTE HE AGREED TO TAKE THE PROMOTER'S MONEY TO DO THIS PARTY. Don't get me wrong, Arly's bank account is a lot "fatter" today by a few $$$$$ than it was before the party; but having said that, apart from the MONEY aspect of it, ARLY LARIVIERE and NU LOOK had NOTHING TO GAIN from this party. Let me explain why.
When NU LOOK took on KLASS in that showdown at Amazura, in the eyes of many, NU LOOK were the clear underdogs because they were going up against the top band in the HMI....KLASS. Not too many gave NU LOOK a chance to top KLASS, but after the showdown when it was decided by many that NU LOOK had had the better of Klass, it was a major boost for the band. That helped create a major buzz for NU LOOK, to the point that NU LOOK is still taking jabs at Klass from time to time about that show. NU LOOK according to a couple of promoters who spoke to me at the time; helped bridge the gap a little bit closer after that show...because KLASS was so far up the ladder ahead of all the other bands; that NU LOOK's performance that night helped the industry IN THE EYES OF THESE 2 PROMOTERS, and also helped NU LOOK's business....therefore NU LOOK had a good reason for doing "THAT" show.
In the case of DISIP, THE MINUTE THAT ARLY LARIVIERE AGREED TO PLAY THEM.....NU LOOK WAS AT A MAJOR DISADVANTAGE. DISIP was so far down the HMI ladder that NO ONE COULD SEE OR UNDERSTAND what NU LOOK would gain from it. If NU LOOK played better, gave a better show, or beat Disip, the fans would say THAT WAS EXPECTED because NU LOOK is more popular than DISIP. But like I stated months before, all DISIP needed was a small door opening...for them to give a good account of themselves...a good show....just to create a buzz...and "IF" in the process they happened to BAY NU LOOK YON TI TAP TOU PITI...THAT'S ALL THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO CREATE A BUZZ FOR THEMSELVES AND TAKE MAJOR ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION. GUESS WHAT? That's exactly what has happened based on GAZZMAN dropping videos of him with a CHAMPIONSHIP BELT all over his social media pages....creating a buzz for himself and DISIP...giving the indication to observers that he thinks DISIP had the better of Nu Look. BRI GAZZMAN DISIP TAP CHACHE A....LI JWENN LI AK SHOWDOWN SA.....and guess who was a "HELPER" in that....ARLY LARIVIERE NU LOOK because he accepted to do this party.
ARLY LARIVIERE might not really care what different people are saying about WHO WON/LOST ...because of the $$$$ that he made from this show; but in the long run, and in the matter of "PERCEPTION"...THIS SHOW might turn out to be something that he might regret doing IN THE LONG RUN (Regardless if he won or lost)....maybe the SAME WAY THAT KLASS MIGHT HAVE REGRETTED TAKING THE MONEY TO DO THAT SHOW WITH NU LOOK years ago....a stain that still hurts at their pride/egos. After the KLASS/NU LOOK show, only hardcore KLASS fans were saying that they had won....despite the fact that RICHIE had told us ON CAMERA that NU LOOK did have a better show/presentation that night; but with this NU LOOK/DISIP party...THERE IS A "DOUBT", it is NOT as unanimous as the last time for NU LOOK. NOT everybody is singing the same tune/song for this one like the last time.....You have some singing ONE SONG (Nu Look), and others singing ANOTHER SONG (DISIP)...and all that says is that ARLY LARIVIERE might just have opened the door for his former bandmate/friend GAZZMAN to join the HMI party in the VIP PRESIDENTIAL SUITE, that for so many years he was NOT invited to....and I am NOT sure the NU LOOK fans are happy about that.
NU LOOK did NOT "need" this show......GAZZMAN DISIP got this show "AT THE RIGHT TIME".....just as his new CD is gaining momentum on the market....so will THIS be the start of when DISIP starts putting fans inside the venues consistently at their different parties in the HMI in the U.S? THE FUTURE WILL TELL US THE REST OF THIS STORY of how this will play out for both NU LOOK and DISIP!
