*KOMPA MAGAZINE: You are THE PERFECT PERSON to ask this one because you are a respected LEGEND and VETERAN in the business. There are times where there are issues between POPULAR BANDS in terms of WHO PLAYS FIRST and WHO PLAYS SECOND during 2 band parties...In your opinion, what should the PROTOCOL be in terms of different scenarios...such as NEW CD, or local/non-local band and other stuff
Your thoughts.
FANFAN TI BOT: "Well it all depends. The host band should play first. The most popular band should play last, but in our case it's always better to play first since the parties start very late, and the second band has the least time to perform. As far as I am concerned the later you come on, the least time you have to enjoy. You can also toss a coin. lol ..if you're good you're good no matter what position. When the best band plays first, most people leave after they play. It's an embarrassment."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: What if it's 2 popular bands that are playing?
FANFAN TI BOT: "That's the best way to judge who's really the best . In our market there's always a gap between two popular bands. One is always on top even by an inch."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: PROMOTERS reserve the right to make that call...and would their decision be FINAL...in other words...BANDS should obey the promoter's wishes or NO...it should NOT be that way?
FANFAN TI BOT: "There's always a headliner in the music industry. Haitians are too proud to accept that. Now if you are that popular you should have a band with less popularity open for you. Why should we have the Rolling Stones and the Beatles on the same stage? Something is missing my friend."
