We spoke to KONPA IN VEGAS CEO NATHAN FRAGELUS and asked him the following questions below.

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: 5 YEARS of KONPA IN VEGAS. When you first undertook this project; did you think you would get to 5 years?
NATHAN FRAGELUS KIV: "Yes I knew all along it would be possible because I believed in my abilities and my team."
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: At any given time during the journey; was there ever any thought of giving up?
NATHAN FRAGELUS KIV: "Not at all. My late mother taught me that giving up should never be part of my vocabulary. There's nothing wrong in reinventing yourself if you are not making progress, but you should never give up on something you are passionate about. To answer your question, I've thought about different strategies, but giving up never crossed my mind."
*KOMPA MAGAZINE Let's look at that special 5th lineup. Tell us INDIVIDUALLY FOR EACH ACT why you and your team chose them for KIV 2017. ONE BY ONE!
NATHAN FRAGELUS KIV: "Harmonik after 4 years of being with us in Vegas, these guys have been one of the most flexible bands during that time. And plus with a new album, a number 1 hit song, it was only right to have these guys back again for the 5 years anniversary.
Nulook: I made a mistake 2 years ago which in return hurt both brands, and as I said before I am the owner of KIV even if it wasn't from me directly, I am responsible to fix the problem. I personally think Nulook is perfect for the style of event that we are trying to put together in Vegas. We hope to work with the Maestro and put together a concert for the 5 years anniversary.
Kranium: I am personally a fan of this artist, and with having one of the hottest reggae songs out there I think he will bring a balance to our line up.
Tvice: When it comes to this band, I can honestly say these guys are one of the main reasons we have Vegas right now. The very first band to give me the okay without knowing what I would be doing in Vegas, and now with having a new album, a very popular single, I felt that it was right to bring them back to celebrate the 5th year anniversary with us.
KAÏ: I know many people have asked me, why KAÏ these guys only have a song out? And my answer has always been have you seen them perform? Plus, it's like having Carimi in Vegas without Mickael. All jokes aside, neg yo gin bagay nan min yo. Not only that they have one of the most popular singles out there, and a new album coming up.
I think that's everyone so far, I'm sure there's more to come knowing me. Lol."
