DAT7 got a SHOCKING REQUEST from one of their KEY ALLIES...as told to KOMPA MAGAZINE tonight. Boston promoter YVON of HIT ENTERTAINMENT told us this...Read below
YVON: 'I already spoke to manager/owner KALIKO about this. I suggested to him that THE GROUP MUST CHANGE THE NAME. They need to change the name because it is not marketable. I have had personal confirmation of this on my end because the way that it is spelled, not too many people know what it means when they see it. ANPIL MOUN PA KONN SA LI VLE DI POU TET JAN LI EKRI A.....and some people when they are looking for it on iTunes or the internet to check them out....they don't know how to spell it correctly. I would prefer that they CHANGE THE NAME NOW and do something about it....instead of just leaving it as is....epi pou yo soufri/mouri ak nom an. The band still has time to do it because it is still very early in the game. The name DAT7 has NOT brought anything for the band. The band plays very very very well LIVE. They are a great band....BUT THE NAME IS HURTING THEM. I want them to change it. It would be the best move for their business."
