Is RALPH CONDE ready to return on the market to PLAY FOR A BAND IN THE HMI that wants his services? Here is what he told me.

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Do you still have no desire or interest to play for any band on the market right now besides Tabou?
RALPH CONDE: "I can play in the Studio for any band or solo artist, but as far playing on stage on a regular basis with a band....I have done it for the past 28 years; but NOW, it's time for me to look at another window and concentrate on my solo career."

KM!

U know that one two punch combo , u and Arly, is untouchable. Just as a guest appearance but then again, your two weeks notice wasn't nice.

Frankly I do not blame him or any other established musician who decides no longer to play the chicken circuit of the HMI...the good ol' days of touring from city to city, the groupies, the accolade from fans..the camaraderie among bandmates is no longer fun when you get to 35-40 years of age. You start to think about the bigger picutre and if you have a means to make a living not having to be a gigger then you take it.

I think it all dépends on your role and the amount of money you're making per gig. Because bottom line you can come on stage perform and go back to your hotel room. I do think that if fans want pictures with you fòk ou fè yo but the whole groopie and chilling until X in the morning after a party is not mandatory.

I only brought those things up as reasons that would motivate a musician to keep doing it when your money is not always paid to you on-time or guaranteed period...but when you been around the block a few times especially experiencing the high and lows like a guy like Conde...those things wont motivate you to keep doing it when you can focus on working other things to make similar and sometimes more guaranteed money.
