*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Did KAI pass or fail the Haiti test ?
RICHARD CAVE: "Patrick of course it was a success. We had 1500 to 1600 people. The reception was amazing even though the morning before I lost my voice and i was not 100 percent. This is something i have to get used to cause it's a muscle and i have to build it. I can't do the things that i used to do with carimi lol. I have to sleep ... but besides that amazing reception "MALADE" was crazy.. people were singing the song non stop."
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Was it a well calculated strategy to only play one gig in the motherland? What was the reason behind that? I'm pretty sure you could've added a couple more dates in Haiti.
RICHARD CAVE: "Yes we wanted to play 1 gig because you know that we don't have am album yet and it wouldn't be smart to play more than 1 gig."
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: How would you rate the 4 grand premieres so far New York, Haiti, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando IN YOUR EYES from number 1 to number 4.
RICHARD CAVE: "Well the first one was for me very important cause i live in ny. We had a bigger show...but NY wasn't the best. I think i was a little too excited and i made a lot of mistakes. The next gig in Fort Lauderdale i can tell you was already much better. I was not making some of the same mistakes and I was more comfortable. Orlando was crazy, one of the best performances i would say. I was much more comfortable. Haiti like i said before could have been better. One thing is i'm learning and i'm getting better. I don't expect to be the best in 4 performances...it will take time and i understand that... but i will learn fast because i want to ... and i'm willing to."
