NYC PROMOTERS should jump on this FLORIDA thing!

."MIAMI & FORT LAUDERDALE have this HMI TREND going well for them...that I AM STILL AT A LOSS AS TO WHY NYC PROMOTERS DON'T TRY TO ADOPT IT in NYC.
There is this SOCCER/MUSIC craze happening in Miami that has worked for many years for MADAN GOUGOUSSE, and worked very well to a certain degree for DIRI AYITI in Fort Lauderdale this Summer. What they do is combine SOCCER GAMES (Haitian Passion) with 1 band or more as musical guests....at a cut rate price ranging from $10/15.
Now I know that MIAMI or Fort Lauderdale are NOT the only places that Haitians follow soccer...so I think if well organized, something similar could work in NEW YORK during the Summer. It could bring something DIFFERENT to the NYC market in terms of parties. I see BROOKLYN being very ideal for something like that, or perhaps maybe some field in QUEENS.
*A couple of vendors selling FOOD.
*$10 ENTRY which we all know Haitians love a bargain
*Combine local bands and get bands from out of town when they come in....(No need for the promoter to pay airfare)....and if the out of town band has to play in Jersey on Sunday NIGHT....it's even better. BAND gets some extra cash for their trip/tour with this one.
*BANDS would OF COURSE charge a LESSER FEE to the promoter of this program....just like they do with the ones in Miami/Fort Lauderdale because they are not playing a long set.....1 HOUR SET
NYC PROMOTERS....think outside the box. If you TRY this SOCCER/MUSIC weekly thing that has been working so well in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market....you just might get a result with an unexpected cash flow $$$$$$$.
