KM spoke to former KARIZMA drummer MARVENS.....the musician we can say who is the CLOSEST to the KARIZMA camp because he was there from the beginning.....until he went and joined T-VICE.



*KOMPA MAGAZINE: We noticed you LAUGHED in our comments section in regards to the news that RENE "firing" EMMERY and JR from KARIZMA. Your thoughts on the matter please. KISA WAP DI SOU DOSSIER SA?
MARVENS: "Monche Pat as a former member of the band and also still till this day knowing about all the issues that the band has to lead to this drastic,emotional decision from management basically sums up why I'm happy I left. Maybe today I would of been fired too lol."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Are you basically saying that YOU ARE STANDING ON EMMERY and JR'S SIDE based on what you just said? In your eyes, is management THE ONLY GUILTY PARTY in this whole thing? Are Emmery and JR "innocent" or "VICTIMS"?
MARVENS: "Pat this is not a matter of sides. Rene is still a good friend of mine untill this day. Go ask him how many times I have been on conference calls with them all to try and help resolve certain issues. Emmery and jay r are like brothers I will always support them. Rene can always call me if he wants my help. To be honest in my opinion no one can play Victim because the band was formed around us including me self. Heck I should be blamed too but I think this was a very big mistake to fire your main guys that have been here for you and sacrificed so much regardless."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: WHAT do you blame RENE for...and what do you blame EMMERY/JR for?
MARVENS: "I blame them both for not being able to resolve their differences because last I checked they were suppose to try and work things out but management te sere kou sa pou Neg yo. In all the biggest mistake Emmery and jay r made is not putting their names on the papers legally to be part owners."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: That is a HUGE STATEMENT from you. You are saying MANAGEMENT TE SERE KOU SA POU NEG YO? Please elaborate as to why you are saying that?
MARVENS: "Pat of course son kou bro the guys just came back from Martinique I believe. Yes the tension was high in the room which they were suppose to sit and meet about but it never was going to be anyone leaving or being fired. Pat I know rene this is not his style so it's safe to say gen lot moun ki deye kou sa. Antouka my focus is helping my brothers get back on track good luck to everyone else."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: If both sides were to sit down and work things out; what GUARANTEE do YOU have that the marriage would work...and NOT have the same issues rise up again?
MARVENS: "Pat it was never a marriage Rene dil li married to karizma pou kont li his name is on the papers. Emmery and jay se fanm deyo yo te ye lol. The only thing I can guarantee is Emmery and Jay are already on the right track to the next step. There is no more sitting down it's over between them Bagay yo rive two lwen."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: In your opinion, did EMMERY and JAY R. care about KARIZMA "as much" as RENE did?
MARVENS: "I don't think anyone can question those guys commitment to karizma my brother. that's not even a question only thing rene may have done more is spend his money that's all. If not karizma would of been gone years ago."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Since YOU said that the 2 guys were the "FANM DEYO" in KARIZMA...LOL. There is word that they may have been LOOKING AT other "suitors" out there. YO TAP GAD LOT JAZ....is that POSSIBLE in your opinion or NO?
MARVENS: "In this busniess depi Ou bon there will always be lot djazz kap gadew that's life period. But I assure you their commitment was to karizma."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Musicians that left that said that Emmery and JR were running the show...even at times REFUSING to go with some things that Rene wanted...are they making up stories in your opinion?
MARVENS: "One thing about me I'm always going to be fair and I think that's why they always involved my opinion on certain matters. Emmery and jay are not perfect and I tell them straight to their face what they were wrong about the same way I tell Rene."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: In your opinion, the next best move for the two...TO JOIN ANOTHER BAND, or CREATE THEIR OWN BAND...backed up by another investor....?
MARVENS: "I think both options are open but I would focus on doing my own thing now. especially having the experience on the do's and do nots Of the busniess that would help them. With the right person backing them the sky is the limit Nyc is has plenty room for a new band it's really only Kai and Cruz la for now."

It was a chess match and the owners won.... but its sad how it turned out because Karizma was going in a upward trajectory.
