*MINI REVIEW!

The debut show of CARIMI's regular SUMMER program on THURSDAYS in New York started off on a very good note. The place was packed, and Carimi gave a great performance. The group was "ON" as they apparently came back rejuvanated from their Haiti trip. I had a blast. Great job fellas.

Some Highlights

*They invited DOUBY on stage to come and jam as they switched to a more heavy Compas direct sound to accomodate Douby's style of singing.

*Their "MONTE ESCALIER" skit is very popular. I like that a lot. They also had the "FE DEZOD" skit as in GO CRAZY/WILD where MICKAEL and bass player NOLDY go into the crowd and do some "DEZOD" with some female fans.

I did not see the "Glenny threesome guitar skit", perhaps they did it earlier in the show, because I did not get there until 1 in the morning.

The BREAK was really great as well because the DJ rocked the house with some of the hottest joints out in the market right now in terms of REGGAE/DANCEHALL and R&B. That AKON track "Nobody wants to see us together" is simply CRAZY when you drop it at a Haitian party/club.

All in all, it was a great debut night for the Carimi crew, and this program looks like it is going to be very popular. Now the only problem that will come up is they are going to have to keep quite a few people out of the club as the weeks go by.
