SHOUBOU SHARES HIS THOUGHTS ON A FEW TABOU COMBO CDS!

We sat down with legendary Tabou vocalist SHOUBOU to get his take on a couple of classic TABOU COMBO CDS. We got some very interesting comments. Check it out.

*8EME SACREMENT: "A very huge album. GWO PLAK. That's the album that made us international stars. That's the one with the big hit "New York City".

*RESPECT: "This is the album that gave ME and TABOU respect in the business. They did not take us seriously before that album, this record changed all that. It has the classic "BEBE PARAMOUNT" in there for the first time. I consider this album along with the Kitem Fe Zafem" album as the two that gave Tabou Combo the MOST RESPECT in the business. It is my personal opinion."

*MASTERS: "That album almost put Tabou out of business. It was a battle between Dadou Pasquet and Herman Nau trying to outdo the other on the guitars and the drums. At that time, SKAH-SHAH had just released the classic song "Haiti Cherie".

*INDESTRUCTIBLE: "That's the first album that ELYSE PYRONNEAU played after replacing Dadou Pasquet in the band. It was not a sucess because people were trying to compare Elysee to Dadou. I did not really like the album myself. That's the album with the song "Akiyoko".

*LAN X: "BEL PLAK. At that time, we were in competition with bands like Shleu-Shleu and Ambassadeurs. We were considered a 'Teenagers' band at the time because that was the crowd that we attracted."

*LIGHT IS COMING YOUR WAY: 'This is the album that ELYSEE PYRONNEAU exploded. They gave him the credit that he deserved on that album. It was a huge success. That is the one with the mega hit "Mabouya".
