DJAKOUT MIZIK IN TURMOIL AS VAN SHOOTING BRINGS OUT FRICTION BETWEEN BAND MEMBERS!

The van shooting against Djakout on Friday seems to have taken a huge toll on the band as it brings out friction among the band members that threatens to disrupt the vibe that the group is currently enjoying in the HMI.

From very close sources who were actually present when some of this went down....

*A couple of members from Djakout were really upset at vocalist Pouchon Duverger because he was against continuing with the tour this past weekend after the shooting. Some Djakout members wanted to let send a message that they were not scared after what went down with the van shooting, but Pouchon felt that it should not go on because of Belloni, and also because he kept getting word that the Sunday bal with System was going to be "a problem" if the band played. Pouchon promptly left New York after he told keyboardist Ti Regi that he was heading back home to Montreal.

*Some members were also very upset at Pouchon because he apparently did NOT go to the hospitl to make sure that technician Belloni was ok. The whole crew apparently was at the hospital after the shooting, while Pouchon chose to go back to the hotel. They felt that it was a disrespect of some sort to Belloni by Pouchon. A close source to the group said that Pouchon did not mean it as an insult, it was just that he was so caught up emotionally after the shooting, he could not bare to go to the hospital. The source did say that Pouchon spoke to Belloni by phone.

*On Sunday morning, some members gathered around wanting to find out if the group was going to go on with Sunday's show with System Band. Some members such as Roro and Mamane still wanted to play even without Pouchon as a way to send a message that they were not afraid, and at the same time, to help the promoter WES out because he had spent a lot of money to bring the group out for the weekend. TI REGI got on Roro's bad side because he apparently was asked to vote yes or no on if he was in favor of playing Sunday's gig. Ti Regi chose NOT to vote, instead saying that he was just waiting for the group to make a decision on if they were playing or not, so that he could get on a plane to fly back home to Miami. Roro took that as Ti Regi "lacking the fortitude" to make an important decision for the band because all he had to do was vote yes or no. Ti Regi soon left to go to Miami.

*TI POUCH who lives in New Jersey was apparently asked by phone if he wanted to play the Sunday gig. His reply was "Is Pouchon here?/Kote Pouchon?" When he was told that Pouchon was nowhere to be found, he said why were they wasting his time calling him to ask him that question, the he promptly hung up, as if indicating not to bother him.

A close member of the group's entourage told a source of ours that this kind of bickering/arguing is very common within the group. He said that if Djakout was not enjoying this phenomenal success that they are currently going through, the band might have broken up a long time ago.

Did the van shooting have a very negative impact on the band to the point that it threatens to break the solidarity within the group? A suivre.
