BIO
Tempo was founded by Moise Herard and Alan Cave (no need for introduction). Moise went on to recruit long time friend Roberto Pierre Paul (former 718 Boys Lead Vocalist) who was in the process of working on a solo project after the breakup of his band. He also recruited high school buddy Evens Ocvil who had worked on many projects with him in the past including radio jingles for Hot 97, countless radio commercials and most recently the theme song of Jacques Roc’s “Pluie D’espoir” movie. The trio chose the name Tempo to capture their cool, "poze" personalities.
Roberto who was introduced to music by his mother (A singer/songwriter and guitar player in her own rights), has already released an album with his former group 718-boys entitled “Si Lanmou se male”.
Moise was first introduced to the world of music by his cousin George Lys Herard (aka Master dji) who encouraged him to take up piano lessons. He obliged and reached out to Bossa Combo’s band leader Adrien Jeanite who taught him everything he knows today. He has worked with many artists and on many projects.
Evens started off in the church where he rocked the drums at Sunday morning services. He has worked with famed director Jonathon Demme on the movie soundtrack for “Cannibal”, produced numerous commercials for WBLS in New York. He was also a featured rapper on Sheddley’s 1st djazz la album.
Tempo just released their first single, "Ou Fe’m High” on May 5th, 2006. The single is featured on their website www.tempotempo.com (Site will go online on 5/16/06). They plan to release their 2nd single mid-summer and look out for the Tempo album coming Fall 2006!
(The Tempo Album will be one of many projects to come out under AC records in 2006 including the long awaited Alan Cave's solo album)
